Officials in Liberia say nearly 25,000 school leavers who failed the entrance test did not have a basic grasp of English.
Ms Sirleaf, the Liberian President, said she had held talks with officials at the University of Liberia over the failure of every single candidate who took the exam. The University has now agreed to admit about 1,800.
